Founded in 1989 by Italian entrepreneurs Gianpaolo Nogara and Lucio Brissolese, Warisan began as a fine antiques curator and has grown into one of Indonesia’s most respected furniture ateliers – crafting iconic pieces for prestigious hotels and resorts around the world.
In 2018, long-time collaborator and global business strategist Matthew Bater joined as a partner, bringing fresh momentum and international reach to the brand. Today, the trio leads with a shared belief in quality, design integrity, and long-term partnerships – underpinning Warisan’s evolution into a globally trusted production partner for the world’s finest hospitality spaces.

Warisan’s factory in East Java spans 23,000 sqm of production space on a 41,000 sqm site — giving us full control over every stage of manufacturing. Owning our facility allows us to deliver with precision, consistency, and scale, meeting the demands of complex hospitality projects without compromising on quality.

Warisan uses only legally sourced Indonesian teak, verified through the SVLK (Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu) certification – ensuring our timber comes from government-managed, sustainably harvested plantations. Every piece is crafted with high-quality materials, eco- conscious finishes, and is backed by a 12-month guarantee.
